Best season to Trek to Ghandruk:

The beauty of Ghandruk is enhanced from Mid September to May due to the clear sky and lovely Himalayan view. June to July is also not preferred for the trek to Ghandruk as the views can be disturbed due to monsoon. Spring is, in fact, the best time for Ghandruk stay.

Trekking to Ghandruk:

Trekking to Ghandruk is an easily achievable and still prodigious trek. You can reach Ghandruk in just two days from Kathmandu. The first day is a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (7 hours’ drive) and the second day is a drive from Pokhara to Naya Pool and then trek to Ghandruk.

For the second day, you should leave Pokhara early morning and drive to Nayapol in a private or public vehicle. Form Nayapol, walk to Phedi and then start your ascent.

Getting a bus to Ghandruk:

You not necessarily trek to Ghandruk- you can drive all the way up the village. You can get a public bus to Ghandruk from Baglung Buspark and the bus takes you to the base of Ghadruk village. The village is 45 minutes of a hike from the bus stop. If you take a private vehicle, you can drive all the way up.

Hotels in Ghandruk:

You can find many home-stay, tea house, and a luxurious hotel to Ghandruk. You can find one easily once you reach the village- you don’t even need to book in advance. While the cheapest one cost only $2, the most luxurious room in the area cost only $6. The breakfast and dinner, however, is expensive then capital, costs $6 to $10.
