Tea houses vary in price as per the amenities they feature. Tea houses on the lower region offer electricity, wi-fi western toilet facility, and hot shower. But there are some tea houses at a higher altitude which offers only basic kind of services.

Rooms:

There are usually single rooms with twin beds. Some room might also have a small table or a chair. Normally, beds have a comfortable pillow and sheets and blanket. Some might also have shelf, hooks, and coat while some tea houses don’t have it. Everest Hotel have plan good rooms.

Toilets

A clean and comfortable toilet is an essential part of the trek for good health and hygiene. On the lower elevation, there are western style toilets. On the higher elevating you’ll find squat toilet facilities.

Hotel at Lukla

The trek starts with a flight to Lukla. You can either further trek to Phakding and Namche or else stay in Lukla as well. Lukla has plenty of good Everest Hotel with much better facilities than tea houses on the trail.

Your next stop will be in a beautiful small village named Phakding. Phakding has hotels on both sides of Dudh Koshi river which is cheaper than the hotels in Lukla. There are also some luxury accommodations at Phakkding.

Hotel at Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is a great place for acclimatization where trekkers spend a few days.
The place has a beautiful viewpoint and amazing landscape. Further, Namche has some best tea house along with the great Everest Hotel facilities. There are also many 3 star hotels with little 5-star accommodation.

Tengboche is known for Tengboche monastery at 3,867 m. asl. There are only a few hotels in Tengboche with basic facilities. The rooms have attached bathrooms and also the hot shower. Tengboche gets crowded during the peak seasons and thus you might need to pre-book the hotel.

Dingboche is a beautiful Sherpa village with dozens of lodges, a bakery, and also an internet cafe. Trekkers usually spend two nights at Dingboche for acclimatization purpose. So Dingboche has great Everest Hotel.

Lobuche is also an overnight stop on the trail with quite basic hotels. During peak season, you might need to pre-book the trek.

Gorakshep is pretty basic accommodation. During the peak trekking season, you might also have to sleep in a dining room.

Price for tea houses in Everest Base Camp:

The accommodation in the Everest trail depends on the altitude and season. The same lodge might cost high during spring and autumn. The basic accommodation cost around $2-$4 per night.
During off-season, the rates might drop to 50%. Sometimes, the accommodations might also be free if you eat on that particular tea house.
